We recently went on Mason's very first school field trip to the Orr Family Farm!
When I showed up at his school, his class had just finished breakfast and was sitting in the hallway singing songs. He was so excited to see me, which of course melted my little heart!
We rode with our sweet friends, Candace and Wade. The boys had a blast on the way there.
Look at my big boy with his back pack and sack lunch!
The field trip was great because we have so many of our friends that take their kids to St. Joe's too. So, it's fun for Mason and for me!
Right away, the kids grouped up with their close friends. The 4's and the Pre-K classes were there, so Mason got to see his older friends too.
We all hopped on the choo choo train right away.
Mason, Wade and Ty were all so cute pointing everything out that they saw.
Everything was oh-so-cool in there eyes!
Then they just ran wild for a little while. It was a gorgeous day, so we were in no hurry.
They would take turns driving the wooden train and would all holler, "Choo choooo!!"
Next, they rode the ponies. Blakely was so sweet on hers. She smiled the entire time. You could just tell that she was loving it.
Ty and Mason were adorable, too. Mason was adamant about riding the "Captain America" horse... He named it that because of the saddle pad being an American flag. He can make ANYTHING into a super hero!
They were both so cute concentrating and smiling.
Mason would yell "Take a picture of me!"
Ty Bear was hilarious raising one hand up in the air like a real cowboy!
Then we headed to take a hay ride to the pumpkin patch.
The kids had a few snacks on the way there.
They got to pick one pumpkin to take home with them.
As you can see, Mason and Ty had a hard time deciding on just one. But after a lot of contemplation, they chose one each.
My perfect boy with his perfect pumpkin!
There was a hay maze that they ran around through yelling "Lets go this way guys!"
And last, it was time to have some lunch before heading back to school.
Mason and I both had a great time on the field trip. It was so fun for me to do the little things like pack his sack lunch and chase him around with my camera. And he had a blast with all his friends and fun things he got to do.
I know this is the first of many field trips, and I look forward to doing this many more times with my kids!
