Labor Day Weekend

After the race and some recuperating time on Saturday, it was time for one of the most anticipated events of the year... The FIRST OU football game! OU was playing TU at home and game day was in the air all around Norman!

~
Christian's dad, Major, came in to town and they went to the game. Christian and I graduated from OU and Major graduated from TU, so it was the perfect game for them to go to!

Christian said that they had an absolute blast! They tailgated before, went to the game and stayed up late after the game... just boys being boys.

~

I got to have my own OU gameday fun! I went to campus and got to spend some time with some of my great friends!

~

I tailgated and watched the game with some of my beautiful sorority sisters.

...............................................................

On Monday, for Labor Day, we headed to the Bricktown Ballpark to watch the last Redhawks game of the year.

~

The second that Mason heard that we were going to a baseball game, he took off to grab his baseball outfit! Isn't he just a little cutie?!

~

This is the only pic I could get of me and the kids because Mase was running circles around the huge bat.

~

Christian got a picture of me in full on mommy mode... I don't look too stressed! :)

~

Mason and Emma were all smiles and are such the little buddies.

~
But once we got to our seats and the game began, Mason and Daddy were in the zone focused on the field!

~
Emma kept trying to play with Mason, but he was really in to the game. But after a little while, he lightened up and played back... He is such a boy!

~

Emma showed her girly side when she saw the little dancers on the field, she would shake her little booty right along with them!

Me with two sweetie pies.

~
Mason read his Redhawks program up and down.

~
Mason would turn around all excited to show Poppy things that he found in the program.

~
My little bro with his wife and one of his daughters.

My handsome little baseball player!

Team Meek.

~
Mason stood up and asked me if he could go closer to the field, and I said yes. So him and I walked down.

~
Right when we got down there, one of the Redhawks players (#12 Anderson Hernandez) was on deck to bat. He kept looking back at Mason and Mason would just do his little shy shrug.

~

Mason turned around to me with the look on his face of 'Why is he staring at me?!' And to be honest, I wasn't sure why he was either!

~
But then #12 went and grabbed a baseball and held it out around the net for Mason to come get.

~
Mason slowly made his way down closer to him to grab it.

~
All the crowd said 'Aww' and 'That's so cute'.

~
Mason was still being shy and turned around to me and said, "Can I keep it?" I told him yes he did get to keep it. So Mason turned around and said, "Thank you baseball player".

~
He wears his hat so low so I couldn't see his eyes, but he was so happy!

~

He was excited to go back up to our seats to show Daddy! He said, "Daddy, that man gave me his baseball!"

~
He was proud of his new ball!

~

And to add to the excitement, a little bit later we were on the jumbotron!

~

Then after a little while longer, the camera went back to Mason and Christian. So, I grabbed my camera to get a pic! Mason was drinking his sippy cup.

But then he realized what was happening and started smiling!

~
VICTORY for the Redhawks!! They won the game and we had lots of fun!

~
Yaayyy!!! They won!

~

It was absolutely perfect weather to spend outside with our family! So glad that my dad thought of it! It was a great weekend of beautiful weather and great time spent with friends and family!
