Fourth of July this year was a BLAST! We celebrated long and hard for 4 days! Every single day (starting with Friday) we spent time at the pool and did something fun in the evening.
Friday evening was the real kick off to the celebrations! Our great friends, Erich and Lynsey, had their second annual cookout/fireworks party on their land, on the outskirts of Norman.
We all did our share in passing out fireworks and keeping all the kids entertained.
Light 'Em Up!!
Sparklers!!!
Some of the crew watching the show...
Me and my handsome boys!
After we stuffed our bellies with TONS of food that everyone brought and shot off some fireworks, everyone got to kick back and enjoy the evening even more. The kids all had fun playing games together, and the bigger boys even had a game of football going on.
The awesome hosts of the evening! Thanks for a great night Von Holt's!!

..........................................
The daylight hours of Saturday, Sunday and Monday were all spent at our friends, The Talley's, pool! All the kids do so well either swimming on their own or in their puddle jumpers, so they all have a great time playing all over the place.

Daddy with his rosy cheeked sweetheart!
We were excited that The Christian's came to play, too! Their youngest boy, Tripp, is just a couple months younger than Morgan.
The guys always play games from when they were kids. "500" has been a regular game this summer! It's a game where one person sits outside the pool (hence Kelly's head in the front of this picture), and the other guys are in the pool trying to catch the ball thrown. The person throwing yells out a number of points that the catcher gets.
Wait for it....
Then she joined us in the pool in her 4th of July swimsuit! Her and Ella were Twinkies!!
In between the games and entertaining, some of us did some relaxing and even caught some Zzzz's.
The heat knocked me out for a good little nap!
We ate WELL, too! One day, Sam outdid himself as always when he cooks! We feasted like Kings and Queens!
Gotta love these guys.
One evening, we loaded the kids up in their wagon and headed out to The Trails Golf Club for some family fun and to watch some fireworks.
Before the sun went down, all the kids ran all around playing.
All American Boys. Hayden and Mason playing some football!
Mason had fun handing out the little flags that we brought for him and his friends.
All the kids had a lot of fun with them, too!
Ella and Blakely in their matching dresses and face paint!

Morgan and her buddy, Tripp. They are both such sweet babies!
The adorable Carlson Family (minus one precious little boy).
Bryan and his little man, Ty.
Me and my darling dearest!
Me with my stud muffin!
Team Meek!!
Here is a picture from 2009's Fourth of July. Look at how young and adorable our babies look!
......... and now look at how grown up they are! Our families and group has expanded even more!
All cuddled up, watching the fireworks.

It was a great holiday weekend! We were go, go go, in true Meek fashion, but we really did have a blast! Such great memories for these kids, and all of us, to be able to have!
So thankful to have all the freedoms we have and for all the people out there that serve our country every day which allows us to live safe and free lives.
Two words come to mind when I think of my life... Thankful and Blessed.
