A couple weeks after Mason's soccer season ended, t-ball started up! Mason's team was called the THUNDER!! We were much more excited about t-ball since the entire game doesn't revolve around sharing one ball and kids trying to constantly take it. We knew that Mason would do much better because he could participate more and have more to do.
~
I, of course, decked my baller out in batting gloves, baseball pants, baseball belt, and a really cool bat! And, how darn adorable does he look in all of it?!!

We had some cold and rainy weather at the beginning of the season, but the weather quickly turned hot. But that sure didn't stop these kids from playing their little hearts out through rain or shine!
At the practices, all the daddies would help the kids learn how to field the ball, take turns catching and throwing the ball, and take turns batting and then running the bases.
~
They would all have the cutest faces as they would run the bases!
~
At the beginning of the games, both teams would line up and repeat the code of conduct. It was mainly a bunch of mumbling after the official would tell them what to say, but it was cute regardless.
The game included 2 innings. So, each team got to play the field twice and bat twice.
~
Coach Webb did a great job at teaching the kids to get down and ready when the other team was hitting. And these kids took it serious. Look at these faces!
~
I think Mason's favorite part of t-ball was playing out in the field. He LOVED running to catch the ball after it was hit by the other team!
~
There were a couple times when most of Mason's team would dog pile to get the ball... In these series of pictures, Mason is at the bottom of the pile (check out the legs dangling from underneath on the left of the first pic)... Mason throwing the ball to first... and then Mason doing an air fist bump to himself saying "YES!"
{NO EXAGGERATION!}
~
All the kids did so great with everything and caught on really quickly! Blakely represented pink as the only girl and she definitely held her own against the 9 boys!
~
Mason loved to bat, too!
MEASURE UP... AND SWING!!
~
Every once in a while, the kids would need a parent to run with them through the bases.
~
And there would be a parent at each base to help lead the kids in the right direction.... And for hugs when it was their daddy!
~
Rounding 3rd... Heading home... and a HIGH FIVE at Home Plate for another run scored!!
~
The kids did well at playing and keeping their attention on the game for the most part... But, as to be expected from 3 and 4 year olds, they got distracted some times too!...
Some would get confused at which direction to run and need some man handling to be guided in the correct direction... Some yawns during the early morning games... Some sit down games mid-field... Deciding to style their mommy's hair instead of playing... Somersaults instead of catching the ball... and cheesy high fives at the bases!
~
Some of the PROUD daddies with their boys.
At the end of each game, the team would huddle up to be reminded by Coach,
"What's the #1 rule?!"... "TO HAVE FUN!!", the kids would yell back.
GOOOO THUNDER!!!
Then after the very last huddle of the season, all the kids dog piled Coach Kelly!!!
All the kids got their very own medals!
~
~
Coach with some of his stars.
Then the team gave a special gift to their coach. It was a trophy of a boy playing baseball to represent his first, great year of coaching t-ball.
Coach Kelly loved his surprise, and so did all the boys!
Proud Mommy and Daddy! AND Proud Mason! (look at his sweet grin!)
Nana, Poppy and Cousin Klayton got to come see Mason's last game, too!
~
After the little award ceremony, Mason got to celebrate with some yummy ice cream with Nana, Poppy, us, and his friends Ty and Blakely!
And the fun wasn't quite over! The following weekend was the end of season Swim Party! The pool was packed with kids and parents!
~
There were kids, and adults, jumping in from every direction! It was much like a wave pool a lot of the time!

~
Miss Havyn and Presleigh took such great care of my Morgan.

The kids were absolutely adorable playing t-ball, and us parents had a blast watching them and cheering them on. It was a great season and we're already looking forward to the next one!!
Way To Go Thunder!!!!
