Well, Mason's first soccer season has come to an end. :( He finally started getting in to the game on the second to the last game, so we were a little sad that the season ended.
In that game, Mason went full force trying to get the ball and rarely got his feelings hurt when the ball got taken away from him.
After he stole it, he took off with it... not in the direction of the goal, but it was still cute!
~
Then all of a sudden in the middle of the game, Mason ran off the field straight to Morgan and started kissing on her toes and sweet talking her.
~
Then he headed back out for some defense!
~
Go baby, go!
~
Even though Mason was a little more in to the game this time, there were still some hilarious distractions going on...
~
And Hayden running out on the field during the game with a bag of Fritos, and then Wade leaving the game to chase after the Fritos!
At the end of the game they all lined up to give fives to the other team. They all look like such big kids here!
Yay for a successful, attentive game for Mason! One out of the season isn't too bad, right?!
........................................................
The next Saturday was the last game. Mason seemed to be in the same go get 'em mood for soccer to start out the day, so we were excited!
~
~
All the kids were so cute practicing kicking goals.
He was all smiles!
Then the wind picked up and the temperature dropped even more!
He did a little pouting, picking grass, and playing with Morgan... but no playing soccer after that.
~
Toward the end of the game, it started to warm up a tad, so he cheered up. And just in time for the special award ceremony!
All the kids lined up to wait patiently for their own medals!
~
Then it was Mason's turn! He was so cute running up to get his medal!

He was such a proud boy!
He was such a proud boy!
The kids all compared medals... even though they were the exact same ones. :)
Then they got together for one last huddle... GOOOO HIPPO DUCKS!!!
Such sweet soccer stars!
Mason wore his medal around constantly for about a week.
Two peas in a pod!
All season the weather was extremely unpredictable and the kids were all pretty distractable, but it was such a fun first sports season! We were proud parents regarless of him not playing a lot of the season. :)
Next up is T-Ball!!! So, stay tuned for those exciting updates!
