This past week we've had some beautiful Highs and some crazy Lows!
~
Last Friday Noah and his Daddy, Cody, inviting us to go to the Zoo. While Christan and I were discussing it, before I could even decide if we were going to go or not, Mason must have overheard us talking 'cause he yelled out "Yes, I want to go the the Zoo!" So, we got all packed up and went to pick up the Goodnight boys.
It was a tad chilly in the beginning, but quickly warmed up to 74 degrees and was absolutely beautiful! Jackets came off and we even got a little hot keeping up with these two.

Strollers weren't allowed in some of the buildings so Morgan and I waited outside while Cody took Mason and Noah in to see the animals.
They got to see sheep, goats, huge snakes (which Mason loved!), turtles, seals, monkeys, rhinos, bats and tons more animals.

I enjoyed pushing my little lady around all day.
She was so perfect, like she always is. When she was awake, she just enjoyed her ride, while looking around and giving the occasional sweet smile.
~
And like always, the boys had to sit on each animal statue that we passed.
~
What a poser!! Where does he get that?? :)
~
Noah wanted a shoulder ride from Cody...

~
Then Mason wanted one too, of course. But he settled for a piggyback ride. Which made for an interesting, tiring time having Mason on my back, while pushing the stroller. But I enjoyed every moment of it.
~
My sweet kiddos.
~
They got to throw food to the ducks in the pond.

~
And, they got some playtime in the play area.
The boys found the one slide that had water at the bottom of it and drenched their pants while sliding down. Daddy Cody was prepared for the inevitable and had an extra pair of pants for Noah and Mason's wind pants dried pretty quick. So, we were still all good to continue on.
~
M and N would both sweet talk Morgan and pet all over her.

~
But Mason made sure that Noah knew that she was HIS sissy and would give her sweet kisses.
~
It was a perfect day to spend strolling around with such sweet, little company. The boys had a great time running around, looking at all the animals, giggling and playing together. Morgan had a nice, little nap and ride around. And, Cody and I enjoyed watching the kids and all their excitement.
Christian and Alison were hard at work. But, we made sure to take lots of pics so they could see all the fun we had and know that we missed them both.

All five of us were whooped by the end of the trip, but it was well worth it.
Thanks for the invite Goodnight Boys!!
.............................................................................
The next day was Saturday, so Christian was off work and able to enjoy the gorgeous weather with us this time!
We loaded up the wagon with Mason and his best buddy, Ironman, and headed out for a walk through our neighborhood and into the trails near our house.
~
Sissy rode in the Baby Bjorn on the front of me. She was awake most of the time and held her head up so well and just watched everything going on around us.
~
Daddy and Mase had to find the perfect walking sticks.

~
"I wanna do it all by myself", Mason kept saying.
~
We made our way through the woods and to a hidden, vacant pond.

~
This picture was taken by Mason. Good job, huh?!
~
The boys made their way through a little mud to get a closer look at the pond.

~
I love this picture!
This was one of those peaceful moments that I realized all the great things I've been so blessed with.

~
On the walk back, sis took a little snoozer.

~
Mason got to pet lots of dogs that passed by.
~
And, he pulled the wagon all the way back home.

It was a beautiful day, with my beautiful family. You just can't beat days like that one.
.................................................................
That night we got to take the fun over to The Talley's house!
~
We had delicious food that Sam cooked up and let the kids run around wild inside and out.

~
Blakely and Ella came out of Ella's room "pregnant with puppies in their tummies". These two girlies are just SO adorable! I hope Morgan grows up just like them!

.....................................................................
Then the weather turned on us!!
The news started reporting the "worst storm of our lifetime" was coming. The weather men were using terms like "Snowmageddon" and "Snowpocalypse".
So, we decided that we better get well prepared for the snowvastation that was coming. We just weren't sure if it would be a snowtastrophe or not... okay okay, so I've been having fun with the words as well. :)
I did actually make my way to a few places to keep ourselves fed and entertained. And, every place that I went was quite the popular places for the rest of the town as well!
I went to Wal-Mart to stock up on food to cook and sweets to bake, the liquor store for Margaritas :), and Blockbuster for movies... Every one of those places were cram packed!
~
The evening before it all hit, we watched out the window just waiting to catch the first glimpse of snow.

The last predicted snow day, a couple weeks ago, I had told Mason that once it snowed that we could play in it and make a snowman. And it ended up not snowing at all and I had gotten Mason's hopes up for nothing. :(
So, I was glad when it actually did start snowing this time.
~
This is what it looked like at 9:30pm Monday night.

~
And this is what we woke up to!

~
Mason was my big helper all day long!
He started out by helping me make bacon and pancakes for breakfast. He got his play spatula out and everything.
~
He also helped me make lunch. I thought
SNOWFLAKE grilled cheese and soup was very fitting for the day!

~
And of course, we had to make
Snow Icecream! Mason found the perfect batch of snow for us and filled up our bowl.

Mason put all the ingredients in all by himself.

He always loves helping with the mixer.
~
Druuummmm rolllll...... Yep, it was Delish!!
~
Then the boys got all bundled up and had a great time playing outside in the snow.

The snow drift was insane at certain areas!

It was extremely cold and windy out so they didn't stay out for too long. But, it was enough to make these two happy.
~
They had a quick snow fight before heading back inside.
Mason keeps saying, "I not bring the snow. God bring it." It's been so cute!
~
What a better way to warm up than with homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies made from scratch?!
Again, Mason helped me every step of the way.

~
Once we added in the flour, the eggs, etc, etc, it was time for the best part... the chocolate chips! Mason kept wanting to eat them though.
~
He slopped the cookie dough onto the cookie sheet. And then we waited....

~
Not too long later, we got them out and they were the BEST homemade cookies I've ever made! It must have been the touch of my little man!
~
At Mason's request, I made some snowflake cookies as well... And, I have to admit that we did have these cookies for breakfast the next morning. :)

~
Christian is such a cold weather, snow kind of guy. So, every time it snows, he gets an itch to get out and drive in it. I used to try to get him to stay home and not go out in it, but I've learned over the years that he's a big boy and can make his own decisions. So, Christian racked his brain to come up with an excuse to get out in it and then headed out.
~
This was the snow drift in front of our garage and in our driveway... Looks impossible to drive in, right??

~
...Not to Christian! He headed out anyway.

He did get stuck in the Wal-Mart parking lot but someone pulled him out and he made it back home safely... Did I say I told you so?? Yep, I sure did! :)
~
While Christian was out, we had some relaxing, down time on the couch. Mason just wanted to love on Morgan. I just love watching this.

~
I left the room for one minute and came back to Mason's grand idea to take Sissy's play mat and put it in her bouncy seat, then get into it. He does this kind of stuff all the time. He's hilarious.

~
We had "tent time" all day long! Christian, Daddy and Rufus wrestled inside, we played games inside, and we just relaxed inside... It's a multi-use tent.

~
Little M and I just watched the boys wrestle and hoped that no one came out crying. And, it was a success.
~
We all played hard all day long. Morgan crashed on the couch and Mason crashed in his recliner for a little while.
~
Once the crew woke up, it was time to go fishin'!
We had so much fun playing this game!

Mason was quite the Fisherman!
~
Mason wanted Morgan to play too. :)

~
Then it was finally bed time to end the first snow day....
First thing the next morning, the chaos started all over again. Mason wanted to head straight to watch some cartoons in his tent.
It didn't take long to get back out in the snow for a little play time. But it didn't take long for us to come back inside either... It was still SOOO cold and too windy to stay out for long!!
~
Then we got the invite to go play at Alison and Cody's. We were starting to go a little stir crazy so we jumped at the chance to get out of the house!
It wasn't that bad of a drive actually. We slid a little bit a couple times, but nothing bad... Until we got a couple miles from their house. We turned down a road and there was a truck that was stuck, so we rolled down our window to ask if they needed any help. They said no, they were fine so we continued down the road. It wasn't too much longer til WE GOT STUCK!
Christan was driving and I was playing on my phone and wasn't paying much attention til we got stuck. I looked up and saw this (see picture below). I was like, "You've got to be kidding me that you were going to attempt going through that! And with kids in the car!" Luckily, the truck that we had asked if they needed help, came and pulled us out. Good thing we got stuck when we did cause if we would have went a little further than it wouldn't have been an option to get pulled out. It would have been a leave the car and walk situation... like the other vehicles that were down that road.

~
So, we tried a different road and made it through just fine. Look at this crazy snow drift! It went up to my eye level as we drove by. We finally made it to their house, but only after stopping to help a few cars along the way. It's always fun to help push cars and help them get unstuck and on their way again... well, I had fun
watching Christan push the cars anyway. :)

~
Mason and Noah had alot of fun playing dinosoars, trains, and with playdough.

Morgan napped, ate, and just hung out looking pretty.
It was nice to get out of the house to visit with our friends and let Mason play with his buddy.
..........................................................
And to finish off the day, Christian and Mason went sledding with Sam, Jackson and Ella. I stayed home with Morgan to keep her out of the cold.
When they got home, I could tell they had a great time by the looks on their faces! Mason was smiling so big, telling me all about what they did.
~
Daddy and Mason.

~
Sam and Ella.

~
Christian with all three kids.

~
Sam with all three kids.
They didn't stay out very long because it was so cold and windy, but they had a great time while they were out there!
...............................................
This past week of the beautiful and the freezing temperatures have brought us LOTS of fun!
Yesterday was Groundhog's Day and he SAW his shadow! So, that means an early spring! Even though it definitely doesn't look like it outside right now. It's been a fun last 2 days of cold weather, but this Mommy is going a little crazy! So, I sure hope the groundhog is right cause I'm so ready for warm weather!
But for now, we've got a little boy with chapped cheeks, an additional few extra pounds from eating so much, a crazy, messy house with toys everywhere, and lots of fun memories!
